Went today to Anime Expo 2010. Granted, it was for only a couple of hours, but it seemed alright. A bit different feel from the furry conventions I'm used to attending, but it was alright, nonetheless. Maybe, if I have the good fortune of doing so, I might attend next year.

Just a little reminder
Yes, I'm still alive. No, I haven't been able to upload anything new in regards to photography yet. Though, that may be changing very soon. I am planning on buying both a new camera and updating my lighting equipment.
Although I will still be using my trusty Canon Rebel XTi, I'm planning on getting either the 50D or 5D MKII, whichever one leaves me with enough money to upgrade my lighting setup later on. Either way, I'm going to get myself set up to take better lit equipment.

It's been a while since I've updated this site.
First off, a few announcements. Yes, I still keep my Model Mayhem account active: http://www.modelmayhem.com/KristopherHolcomb. Also, I have a Live Journal and Deviant Art account that I regularly attend, whenever I'm not here: http://kholcomb.livejournal.com or http://kholcomb.deviantart.com.
Now, I'll try and and make way this year, as I usually do, to attend my usual fare of conventions, like Califur and Rain Furrest. Though I'd really like to attend the latter, it'll be an insane gauntlet that I'd have to go through just to take time off of work just to get up to Seattle this year. Mainly because I have a business that I'd like to get up off the ground some time before the end of this year. There's that, and having to develop my own personal website off of Deviant Art just to display and have complete control over my work. Aside from Flickr and Photobucket, both of which have photo limits on their free accounts. Which is why I'm developing my website, because if I'm going to pay good money to upload my photography, I may as well do it on my terms. Amirite?
Then there's now the idea that I'd like to attend Comic Con. I procrastinated, and am unable to attend this year (10 years living in San Diego, I've never gone). Next year, next year.
Also, I'm expanding on my current amount of flash kits that I have in my inventory. That's in case if some of them fail, I have others on stand by. That, and perhaps saving my money to buy the ever elusive Canon 5D Mark II.

Finally purchased a memory card for my camera. Meaning, I'll be taking pictures soon. That, and looking for a few willing models to pose for me.

No news to report...yet
Update: Nothing to report. Status: Systems normal. Equipment check: everything is operational and within tolerance specifications. Only caveat being that I have yet to buy a new memory card for my Canon Rebel XTi. Although, I do have my Pentax K100D Super D-SLR working and with a memory card that's yet to be filled. That, and a Canon Rebel GII film SLR, and a Sony DSC-W55 point and shoot camera. Plus, let's not forget about the Canon GL2 camcorder.
In other words, I'm a mobile camera shop.

Further Confusion Videos and Pictures
I have not taken as many pictures of Further Confusion 2010 as I'd like, though I did take some. I also took some video, as well.
