Also, I'll be uploading the photographs from the November 1st Model Mayhem meetup to there shortly. I'll upload some to my account there soon as well, http://www.modelmayhem.com/KristopherHolcomb. I'll also develop those rolls of film that I shot with at the meetup up, soon, and scan them into my hard drive, so I'll be able to fix them up, post them, and send them off to their respective players.
Up next, for me anyways, is upgrading my camera. Presently, I'm running on either a 10 MP Canon Rebel XTi, or a Canon Rebel GII film camera, both being SLRs. I'm looking to upgrade to a Canon 50D, with perhaps the EF 18-135 mm lens. I would perhaps want to get the L series lens with it, but at about $1200 it is a cost prohibitive item for me, since that model lens costs as much as the camera.
Or, if you're going to approach it from my point of view, I'd go with the line of thinking of that lens costing as much as the 50D, or twice as much as my current dSLR, or six times as much as my film camera. It's about fair price and basic economics, it's not what you say it is, it's what the market will bear. And right now, the market will bear being on the more frugal.
